Voice broadcastDecember 18, 2008
CallFire Launches First Voice Broadcast Application for the iPhoneCallFire, voice broadcast solutions let you run multiple campaigns simultaneously, each with different call volumes, sound prompts and transfer locations. CallFire even offers an API interface for software developers.
With CallFire's voice broadcast solution, managing multiple outbound campaigns and your own virtual call center, is a breeze. CallFire can quickly broadcast your GOTV political calls, emergency notification, outbound sales & government calls!
Now, CallFire has introduced FriendCast, a free service which allows people to send a voice-recorded personal message to various contacts simultaneously, eliminating the time and hassle of making multiple phone calls or typing lengthy text messages to friends and colleagues.
FriendCast can be downloaded from the iPhone (News - Alert) App Store. Once installed, users simply register their phone number and select ‘record’ to begin recording a personalized message. Users then choose the recipients from their contact list and click send. Using the iPhone’s 3G or Wi-Fi connection each contact automatically receives a call playing the sender’s message, while also displaying their caller ID.
The application can send calls to cell phones and landlines, eliminating the need for a PC and home Internet access to send quick, useful group voice updates.
“We’re excited to bring FriendCast to today’s mobile, tech-savvy iPhone users,” said Dinesh Ravishanker, CallFire CEO and co-founder. “By leveraging the cloud telephony platform we’ve built for our business customers, we are now serving the needs of consumers and simplifying the way they communicate when short on time and without a PC.”
FriendCast offers privacy options, including the ability for individuals to block FriendCast calls from specific people or turn off FriendCast messaging altogether. The free, ad-supported application is available immediately in the iPhone App Store. For more information on FriendCast, please visit the CallFire Web site or their Voice Boradcast channel on TMCnet.com. |
